Throughout the past 20+ years I have written many features for magazines such as Breathe, JUNO, National Geographic Traveller, Countryman, Bird Watching, to name a few. I also pen the monthly columns Characters of the Cut for Towpath Talk and Lockside Livelihoods for Canal Boat. Most recently I have had the pleasure of reading several pieces of my writing on BBC Radio.

I have a particular passion for exploring subjects that encourage gentle self-reflection on the authenticity of lives lived and I often use themes of nature, travel, yoga and mindfulness as a means to do this. Capturing the unique voices of everyday people—both past and present—and exploring how creativity can positively enhance our lives, are other themes that continually show up in my writing.
